We are faced with a shocking statistic: between 1982 and 2002, the presence of 18-40 year olds in performing arts audiences declined by nearly 40%. The Skirball Center for the Performing Arts has developed its mission in direct response to this threatening decline. We are committed to ensuring the future of live performance by making tickets affordable to young adult audiences. (For NYU students, tickets are less than $12, and regular ticket prices are far below the industry standard.) We support young and emerging artists who create exciting work, and we present a broad range of world-class, innovative, and forward-thinking performances, both classic and contemporary.
Without your generous financial support, this important work is not possible. We depend on the assistance of individuals, as well as foundation, corporate and media partners, to help us in strengthening the future of live performance.
