Rafiel Eristavi’s dramatic play in 2 acts 'Died First then Married' will be performed in the Georgian language by the renowned Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre from Tbilisi, Georgia. There will be a single Manhattan performance on Saturday, February 25, 2012, 7:00 at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.

The Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre was created in 1978 by Mikheil Tumanishvili, the world famous Georgian director. He united all the art forms in his creations. His productions, translating different art forms into theatre language, convinced the viewer that the most important thing in life is faith and love, since precisely in this is found the basis of high morality.

In Died First Then Married, parents for whom wealth is the most important thing are against the marriage of their children. But in the end love prevails and we are shown that love and well-being are more important than money.

Over the course of 30 years, this theater company has been invited to many major international festivals performing Moliere's Don Juan, Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream and many Georgian plays. The festivals include the Madrid International Festival, Latin American Festival, Edinburg International Festival, Paris, Torin, the London First International Shakespeare Festival, the 3rd International Theatre Olympiad and many more.
